Good day, mate!
Although we were not in London for a very long time, we definitely enjoyed its energy and vibe.

Arriving in Heathrow
Years ago, when I first visited Italy, we had a layover in Heathrow, England. As the airplane started descending, I looked out my airplane window and was amazed by the lands, which look like something out of a fairy tale. I vowed that I was going to come back and visit someday and I did. One thing that is very new about England is you need to fill out paperwork which has information from your passport. Make sure you do this before you leave as you will not be able to enter the country without it. I love the Heathrow Airport as it is very accessible and the people are quite helpful. Plus, everyone there calls you my lovey. Eric and I wanted to stay somewhere historical and we sure did. We found a hotel right on the water with a view of the Tower Bridge. In the evenings we would sit on the patio with the London lights lit up, the bridge looking stunning, and a martini in hand. It was magical!

Beyond the ordinary
What to do first? That was our question. There is so much to do and see in England. My first priority was to see and be where Anne Boleyn stood for her last breath. We made it over to Tower green in the Tower of London. It is here where I stood and tried to imagine the fear in her heart. Such a sad story, for such a beautiful woman. After the tower, we paid a visit to Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, the eye of London, Westminster Abbey where Charles was to be crowned the following month, and Kensington Palace where Princess Diana lived. And don't forget to make a visit to the crown jewels where you will find necklaces, earrings, dishes used for coronations, and crowns worn by Kings and Queens for hundreds of years. I am quite fascinated by the Royal Family, dating back to Henry the 8th, so this was a dream tour and was very accessible as we took Ubers. The Streets of London also have incredible ramps that take you off of a sidewalk if you are using a mobility device. This made it quite easy to get around and Eric did not have to worry about me getting from A to B.
