Frequently asked questions

Where should I travel?

Depending on what you were looking for, there are so many places to travel. Here are some of the places we have traveled to. Link

Which site is best for booking a hotel?

We love booking through hotels.com or Expedia as we earn dollars back to use at Future travel dates.

How do I find a last-minute deal?

You can find many last minute deals, but Expedia is our go-to, hands down!

What's the realistic budget when traveling?

To travel on a budget, plan your trip by booking flights and accommodation in advance during the off-season and using price comparison tools. Save money on food and activities by packing snacks, cooking meals at your accommodation, using public transport, exploring local markets, and looking for free attractions and local discounts. Consider alternative lodging like hostels or apartments and choose budget-friendly destinations to maximize your savings.

I love Rick Steves and his awesome travel tips. Here is a link to his Thrifty 50 travel tips when traveling on a budget.

Where do I find the best activities to do on vacation?

We use Viator as usually someone will pick us up from our hotel or it's easy to find the meeting place. Also this is where you will find if places are accessible for wheelchairs or people with mobility weaknesses.

What are some top Essentials to bring on a trip?

Definitely do your homework for this one and pay attention to what you want to do. For example, if you are going horseback riding, it is a good idea to bring pants and closed toe shoes. If you are going to a classical concert, you may want to bring a gown and dress clothes. If you were climbing Dunn's River Falls in Jamaica, you will definitely want to bring water shoes. Here is a link to some of my packing Essentials.

What documents will I need to travel domestically and internationally?

If you are traveling domestically, you will simply need a government issued ID. This includes and most importantly, the real ID that became mandatory in 2025. If traveling internationally, one will need a passport and depending how long you will be staying, possibly, a Visa. Each country is different with the VISA requirements. One can find visa requirements by simply Googling your destination.
