This was the trip of a lifetime! We flew into Barcelona and stayed there a few days. Eric and I are both foodies so it was fun to take a paella and sangria class. From there we flew over to Bologna, Italy where we boarded Royal Caribbeans, Explorer Of The Seas. We got a balcony and we've never done this before, but this time we got a balcony that was at the very back of the ship, on the corner of the stern. Our balcony was so large that it had two chaise lounges along with a table and chairs. Every evening Eric and I would sit out here and look at the stars. From Italy, the ship took us to Croatia, one of the prettiest countries I've ever seen. It was here that we did a little wine tasting and had a tour guide who brought us to the most beautiful areas of the country. After Croatia, we arrived in Athens Greece. Eric and I visited Acropolis which was fairly accessible. Let me explain. There is a a newly built, very beautiful glass elevator that takes you up to Acropolis so you can see the ancient ruins, but the path that takes you to the elevator is very rough, but if you take it slow, it is manageable. I used my electric scooter and went very slow as the cobblestones gave the terrain a very uneven platform.
