I love sharing about Hawaii! The palm trees, the oceans, the whales off in the distance, and my favorite time of the day, when they light the tiki torches in the area. Do you want to see an epic Sunset? You must visit the islands.
Hawaii is one of our favorite destinations! There is something about the smell of the islands once you get off the plane. We have been to three of the islands and I find the accessibility to be quite doable. First, since we live in California, it's a fairly short flight. Excursions in Hawaii are manageable for the disabled population. You definitely need to do your homework if you choose to stay in an Airbnb as many of the buildings are on the older side and do not have elevators. We actually enjoy staying on the ground floor because of this. Some of the things that you can do in Hawaii include snorkeling which is manageable for physically disabled people, going to a luau, enjoying a dinner cruise, driving to Waimea Canyon, taking a helicopter tour, visiting waterfalls in the car, or simply going to the beach. The restaurants are accessible if there are mobility factors. Overall, Hawaii is truly one of our best vacation areas.
