I am a bit biased of Southern California as this is where Eric and I make our home! It is also a terrific place to visit with its Blue Skies, year round mild climate, and so many things to do.
All of the wineries are ADA accessible, including the wine tasting bars. The beaches all have boardwalks, but we are in dire need of ADA accessible beaches, having boardwalks that lead down to the actual ocean, especially for our little ones. I, personally, love to be on the water therefore chartering a sailboat at sunset with a few appetizers and a nice bottle of wine is one of my favorite things to do. They make it super easy for people with limited mobility to get on these boats. Disneyland is also ADA accessible, but prior arrangements need to be made before heading over there. This year, I learned that I could bring my scooter directly on it's a Small World and that was super exciting for me as getting up from a ride totally hurts my knees. We also have beautiful architecture, outstanding restaurants, and my favorite, the Pacific Ocean. Finally, if the arts is your jam, we have amazing shows from concerts, to the ballet, and award-winning musicals, which make for incredible date nights. One of the most magical things about Southern California is that you can be in the mountains, playing in the snow in the morning, and get to the beach for a candlelight dinner on the ocean by dinner time.
